Acetaminophen 500 mg, phenylephrine HCl 10 mg, noscapine 15 mg, caffeine 25 mg, ascorbic acid 63.33 mg, terpin hydrate 33.33 mg
Indications/Uses
Temporary relief of the symptoms associated w/ common cold including fever, aches, nasal & sinus congestion, cough & minor throat pain, headache.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 2 caplet 6 hrly. Max: 8 caplet/24 hr. Do not take more frequently than every 6 hr. Do not use for >7 days.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients who are taking or have taken MAOIs w/in the last 2 wk. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ liver or kidney problems; high BP, heart disease, blood vessel disease eg, Raynaud's phenomenon, diabetes, overactive thyroid, angle closure glaucoma, pheochromocytoma, prostate problems; severe infection. Contains caffeine; avoid excessive caffeine-containing drinks. May cause dizziness; do not drive or operate machinery if affected. Do not take w/ other analgesics, antipyretics or cold relief medicine. Lactation. Not recommended for childn ≤12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, dizziness, nervousness, difficulty sleeping, increased BP, nausea & vomiting.
Drug Interactions
Warfarin or other anticoagulants; antihypertensives (eg, β-blockers); appetite suppressants or stimulants; antidepressants eg, TCAs, medicines for heart disease (eg, digoxin).
